How did you get into the real estate industry?

I’ve been in the real estate industry for about twenty years. I always knew, even when I was a kid, that I wanted to be in commercial real estate. I had family members and family friends who were in the industry and thought it could be something for me.

What is your favorite aspect about working here?

The people. The team I get to work with day in and day out.

When you are at work, how do you motivate yourself?

There are a lot of opportunities, even in a challenging market. The fact that we are in a challenging market right now motivates me in and of itself. When times get tough, people struggle to figure out their deals. We’re having some hard conversations, but it is very rewarding. We’re helping a lot of people to make the best decisions for their situation.

How is MMG different from other companies?

I’ve worked with two other brokerages. The other brokerages were great, but the way that they operate means that you are essentially siloed. The system is set up so that the guy sitting next to you is not your team member, he’s your competitor. At MMG, I come into work every day, and we’re all working towards the same goal.

What is something unique about you (a fun fact) that few people are aware of?

I coach my son’s academy soccer and my daughter’s competitive basketball team. I’ve been coaching for about five years now. Coaching all of those kids—not just my own—is the most rewarding thing. Their effort is incredible.
