Chris Peck

ASSOCIATE ADVISOR

Meet Chris Peck, an Associate Advisor at MMG who began his career in property management before transitioning into multifamily brokerage. With a passion for helping clients and an entrepreneurial mindset, Chris has thrived at MMG, finding success in a dynamic, cross-market environment.

What does a typical day look like for you as an Associate Advisor?

Every day is different, which is what I love about this job. I start by going over meetings and setting up my game plan for the day. I typically do a morning call block for about 2-2.5 hours, focusing on generating new leads or following up with current prospects. After that, I usually have between one and five meetings, each offering a new opportunity to engage with clients and move deals forward.

What do you enjoy most about your role as an Associate Advisor?

One of the most rewarding aspects of this job is hearing clients’ success stories. I love hearing how they’ve transformed properties, improved units, and reached their end goals—seeing their journey from point A to point B. I also really enjoy giving property tours and hearing clients' ideas for renovations, like converting clubhouses or upgrading different parts of a property. These experiences have definitely fueled my own interest in investing.

MMG emphasizes a cross-market approach. How has working with Advisors across different regions impacted your business?

MMG’s cross-market approach has had a huge impact on my business. Every Thursday, we have a call with Michael Sullivan and all of the associates, and every Wednesday we have a call with the Texas team. That kind of collaboration—where we can refer deals to other teams—is something you don’t see everywhere. And having the Cross Market Capital Team regularly bringing in buyers and setting meetings is huge. I’m on the phone with them weekly discussing potential out-of-market buyers for our listings.

How would you describe the team culture at MMG?

The level of collaboration here is unmatched. Senior leadership is involved in every meeting I set, which shows how committed they are to helping us succeed. We have national calls three times a week to stay aligned.

What skills or mindsets have been most important to your success in brokerage?

One of the most important skills in brokerage is being able to deal with rejection. Every time you hear 'no,' you have to see it as an opportunity for a 'yes.' Persistence is key, and setting goals is crucial to staying on track. You have to stick with it, even when things don’t go as planned.

Where do you see yourself in five years, and how does MMG fit into that vision?

In five years, I hope to transition into a more senior role at MMG. I really respect the leadership on my team, and I’d love to be in a position where I can pay it forward and help others who are just starting out in this industry. MMG’s culture of continuous learning and collaboration fits perfectly with my own goals for growth.

What’s something people might not know about you outside of work?

Something fun that people might not know about me is that my mom, dad, and sister all went to the University of Texas, but I was the first in the family to go to Texas A&M!
