I started right out of college on the research side of investment banking. During that time, I worked extensively with various community banks and closely monitored their balance sheets, which consisted of multifamily loans and various other commercial real estate asset classes. I saw how these lenders
underwrote risk in their commercial portfolio and watched as these assets generated significant revenue, which piqued my interest. Michael Sullivan was involved with one of the community banks that I covered, and upon further research, I learned about MMG and its vision, which sparked my interest in joining the real estate industry.
I serve as a multifamily investment advisor at MMG. My role is to support our clients in the best possible way, which doesn't always mean facilitating a disposition. We also provide guidance on managing expenses and navigating upcoming loans that may need refinancing, ensuring our clients are positioned for success.
What I love most about working at MMG is the energy of the company. It’s a young, hungry organization where everyone is driven to build something great, and we collaborate closely to achieve our goals.
With my athletic background, I'm always pushing myself to improve each day. At MMG, we share that mindset; we don't rest on our laurels. The drive to get better and the company’s culture of continuous improvement keep me motivated.
What I enjoy most about my work is the control I have over my own book of business. It gives me control over my destiny, and there's nothing more satisfying than seeing the fruits of my labor.
At MMG, we are incentivized to collaborate whenever necessary and understand that as the company grows, everyone benefits. The founders are always willing to offer advice freely with workshops and various calls, creating an environment that helps each advisor reach their maximum potential.
Michael Sullivan, Alex Blagojevich, and Brian Hall are significant influences for me at work. They exemplify hard work and a service-oriented approach that I strive to emulate.
A fun fact that not many people know about me is that I am a proud recipient of the Iron Devil Award (most snaps played in a season at Duke University) and was an academic all-ACC selection. I was also a National Champion at Ohio State during the first four-team college football playoff.
My favorite destination is near Phoenix, AZ, where my family has a home. I grew up visiting there, and it’s also where I got engaged. The area holds great memories for me, and I love hiking and golfing in the beautiful surroundings.
Innovative, Hungry, Collaborative.
